The General Secretary of Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) Dr Hafeez-ur-Rehman has said that PIMA in association with Islamic Center North America (ICNA), Helping Hands and Al-Khidmat Foundation has set up three emergency field surgical hospitals at Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Balakot to provide medical facilities to the affected people.

He was addressing a press conference here on Wednesday along with a group of Pakistani doctors who came from USA to cure their countrymen in this crucial time. Those doctors, physicians and surgeon who came from USA including Dr Inam, Dr Umar Burni and Dr Anita Qureshi.

Dr Hafeez said that PIMA and ICNA have planned to construct a modern hospital in Bagh on permanent basis. The both NGOs would also form a Refer Center at Rawalpindi. Dr Anita Qureshi, Dr Umar Burni and Dr Inam told reporters that the PIA has promised them to take instruments and medicines free of charges to Pakistan but after loading in New York the Pakistan International Air Lines officials demanded charges on their luggage. At that time they had to pay 400 dollars each for the relief goods.
